Shropshire Chess Congress 2014

Posted on February 5, 2014 at 8:30 PM

Well done to our players who took part in the Shropshire Chess Congress on the weekend of 4th/5th January 2014.

Thanks to Steve Rooney from Church Stretton chess club for organizing the congress.

In the list of results below the club of the opposition player is displayed alongside his or her name. This gives you an idea of how players from all across the country enter congresses, which is different in comparison to the league chess which is played at the club, which only involves local chess clubs.

Those are the cold hard facts and figures involving our club members at the Shropshire Chess Congress 2014, but those stats can only ever tell part of the story. The website hopes to get the reaction from all 5 of the club members that took part in the congress to share their experiences of the congress, as well as hopefully add some board match reports from their matches at the congress.

The website will be updated with reaction from our players about the congress should it become available.
