Humphrey's Trophy final date is confirmed

Brewood will face Stourbridge in the final of the Humphrey's Trophy at Wolverhampton Chess Club on Thursday 14th April 2016.

Brewood are also in the Humphrey's Trophy Final this season, which is ran by the Wolverhampton Chess League.  Having being drawn away in the Quarter-Final against Rushall and being outgraded on every board, and despite being a player short for the match, Brewood drew the match 2-2 and got through on a tiebreaking method.

Brewood overcome the odds to beat Stourbridge - Stourbridge 1-3 Brewood

Brewood fielded a team of only 3 players in the Dudley Chess League division 3 fixture away to Stourbridge on Wednesday 22nd April 2015.  However despite defaulting board 4, due to a lack of available players, the 3 players that did play, all won their matches, so that the club could win the match 3-1.  Here is the match card:
