Chess social event at The Crown Joule's pub in Codsall

Following the successful social chess event held at The Boat Inn pub in Penkridge on Tuesday 17th July Brewood Chess Circle are delighted to announce that we have agreed another venue for another social chess event which this time will be held in Codsall on Tuesday 28th August from 7:30pm-10:30pm this time at The Crown Joule's pub in Codsall.

The Brewood Chess Circle 2017 AGM is on Tuesday 2nd May 2017 at 7:30pm at the club. It is going to be a very important AGM as there are a number of issues surrounding the club at the moment.

Brewood Chess Circle 2016 AGM report

The Brewood Chess Circle 2016 AGM took place on Tuesday 14th June 2016 at 7:30pm at the club.  There was quite a large attendance of 17 for the AGM, including two juniors and three parents, and most of the other adult members of the chess club.

There has recently been the addition of some new junior members to the club and this has been welcomed by everyone within the club not least because it is an important factor within the social side of the club.  In the long term, the children are aware that we play matches in local leagues against other local clubs, which gives them all something to aim for in the future.
